Creative Healing Massage

Creative Healing Massage

As someone trained in Joseph Stephenson's Creative Healing, my approach emphasises the body's innate ability to heal itself through gentle and precise massage techniques.

This holistic method, which was developed in the early 20th century, focuses on specific sequences of massage strokes designed to stimulate the body's natural processes and support overall health and well-being.

Under the guidance of Dr. Gowri Motha, I've learned to adapt these techniques to support women during pregnancy and the postpartum period.

Here's how I understand and practise Creative Healing:

1. Holistic Approach: I address the body as a whole, not just focusing on symptoms. My techniques aim to bring balance and harmony to the entire body, which can help alleviate a wide range of issues.

2. Gentle Techniques: The massage techniques I use are gentle yet effective, designed to stimulate circulation, aid lymphatic drainage, and encourage the body's natural healing processes without causing strain or discomfort.

3. Targeted Treatments: I use specific sequences to address different areas of the body and various conditions. During pregnancy, my techniques help alleviate common discomforts, support the body's changes, and prepare for childbirth.

4. Empowerment and Education: I believe in educating my clients about their bodies, encouraging them to adopt self-care practices that support their healing journey. This empowerment is especially beneficial for pregnant and postpartum women.

5. Emotional and Physical Connection: I recognise the profound connection between physical and emotional well-being. The gentle touch and supportive techniques I offer can have a calming effect, reducing stress and promoting a sense of peace and relaxation.

By offering Creative Healing massage in my clients' homes or mine, I provide personalised, nurturing care that honours each individual's unique needs. This approach goes beyond simply offering a relaxing, nurturing  experience; it aims to support health at multiple levels, enhancing the body's ability to heal and harmonise both during pregnancy and postpartum. This method can be particularly valuable in helping women navigate the physical and emotional changes they encounter in these transformative stages of life.
